HERRERA WANTS TO STAY

Ander Herrera says he would not mind spending a lot more years playing in the Red Devils’ shirt.

Herrera, the Spanish playmaker, is having only his first stint at Manchester United this season and he appears to be very impressed with how it has gone for him so far.

Actually, when the season first started, there was a bit of hype around Herrera and he got chances to start for the team straightaway.

Alex Ferguson and Wayne Rooney dont have Healthy Friendship

Sir Alex Ferguson might not have enjoyed a great relationship with Wayne Rooney in the last couple of years of his stint at Manchester United, but, the Scot still rates the striker very highly.

According to Ferguson, Rooney is one of those players who can shake the back of the net from nowhere.

Rooney was believed to have got so fed up of Ferguson in 2013 that he had asked the Manchester United top brass to let him go to some other club.

United Has Slow Transfer Season

Compared to other clubs in the Premier League, Manchester United has not experienced a very busy transfer window but they have however added 1 new player to the squad as Vanja Milinkovic will be making his way to Old Trafford from FK Vojvodina. Milinkovic is a young and promising shot-stopper hailing from Serbia.
Milinkovic is going to remain performing at his current club FK Vojvodina on loan until the end of the season before making his official move to the Premier League club.

Rooney's Role In United Under Doubt

With Manchester United all set to bring in a couple of quality midfielders in the form of Arturo Vidal and Ander Herrera, the discussion on Wayne Rooney’s role in the team has started again. If the Red Devils manage to secure both the above mentioned deals, which they are likely to do, there would be only one position left for Rooney to play in i.e. at the left wing.

Everybody knows that Rooney is not quite comfortable playing as a left winger. The England boss, Roy Hodgson, used him in that position in the FIFA World Cup 2014 but, he couldn’t take the best out of him.

Rooney Finally Scores World Cup Goal

England superstar Wayne Rooney finally managed to get the monkey off his back after scoring a World Cup goal, which came in the 2-1 defeat against Uruguay. Rooney came into the World Cup 2014 after having not scored in his previous eight World Cup matches. The run continued to nine after the forward missed several good opportunities against Italy, which was a match that England lost 2-1 as well. Rooney was in danger of being branded as a spectacular failure at international level, but he came up with an equaliser against Uruguay.
