AC Milan supremo Massimo Allegri believes that in Zlatan Ibrahimovic they have a player who is equal to both Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

Whilst Messi and Ronaldo have proven their talent time and again at the highest level - perhaps most notably last season when the two competed for the Primera Liga golden boot award, and outscored all their rivals by over 10 goals each - Ibrahimovic has sometimes flattered to deceive.

Ibra had a good spell for Inter, but his ill-fated move to Barcelona has caused some fans to write the Swedish striker off. When he arrived at Camp Nou he was the World's most expensive player, joining for a reported £30m + Eto'o, but when he left he had lost his scoring touch, his confidence, and over £30m from his price-tag!

At AC Milan he has slowly been rehabilitated, to the extent that he is now the first name on the team-sheet, and he is the man the fans turn to when the team need a goal.

"Ibrahimovic is equal to both Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi" said Allegri. "With him in the side we can compete."

"Barcelona and Real Madrid are the best in the Champions League this season, but we believe that we can beat them both at San Siro."
