NEYMAR, MESSI, AGÜERO, MAKE THE CONMEBOL TEAM OF THE DECADE

The International Federation of Football and Statistics (IFFHS) CONMEBOL recently released their Team of the Decade lineup and it features a whole lot of top names in South American football. The team is made up of players who have not just played, but also have some incredible contributions between the years 2011-2021.

The list of eleven astonishing players contained Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar, while his former Barcelona teammate and the club's current captain Lionel Messi was not excluded. The selection was given a 4-3-3 formation look with strikers Paolo Guerrero from Peru and Argentine goal poacher Sergio KünAgüero also making it to the team.

Paris Saint-Germain legend and current Chelsea center-back Thiago Silva is not missing from the team as well. Argentine pacy forward Angel Di Maria could not be left out of the team after a fruitful last decade which has seen the winger play for some of the top clubs in European football including Spanish giants Real Madrid, English heavyweights Manchester United and his current club, French outfit PSG.
Neymar's rise to stardom started out at Brazilian club Santos from where he burst onto the global scene as a top player. He was snapped up by Barcelona some years back where he established himself as one of the best players in world football.
He won some trophies during his stay at the Catalan giants and is also getting his hands on more trophies at PSG, his current club. He has been a mainstay in the Brazilian national team as well, having gone on to find the back of the net on 64 occasions for the Seleçao in the last decade.
