NEYMAR RETURNS FOR BAYERN GAME

Brazilian star Neymar will return for the Champions League clash with holders Bayern Munich on Tuesday night after missing the last PSG game at the weekend due to suspension.

The PSG attacker started a two-match suspension in the league at the weekend for his recent sending off in the game against title rivals Lille. He was sent off in the dying moments of the Lille game at the start of the month.

Neymar was absent but PSG still managed to do the job of getting the three points at stake to keep up the pace with leaders Lille. They had fallen six points adrift of Lille at the top of the French Ligue 1 standings after the table toppers beat Metz 2-0 away from home on Friday.

PSG were able to reduce the gap back to three points without Neymar following the 4-1 away victory over Racing Strasbourg on Saturday. Kylian Mbappe, Leandro Paredes, Moise Kean and Pablo Sarabia were all on target for the French giants.

The French champions would be delighted to have Neymar back for their quarterfinal tie second leg clash with Bayern at the Parc des Princes on Tuesday night especially after his impact in the first leg. The holders were beaten 3-2 at home by PSG in the first leg and Neymar was one of the best players on the pitch. The Brazilian international provided the assists for the first two goals scored by the French team during that first leg.

PSG are in a very good position ahead of the first leg. Their German opponents need to score at least two goals without reply to have a chance of securing a semi-final spot at the expense of PSG and they have to do this without injured topscorer Robert Lewandowski. The two teams met in the final of the competition last season with Bayern winning 1-0 to win the title at stake.
