NEYMAR SUFFER CONDEMNATION FROM PSG FANS

Brazil international Neymar Jr. suffered one of his worst days as a Paris Saint Germain (PSG) last weekend after he was booed by his own fans at the Parc des Princes on the back of their elimination at the hands of Spanish La Liga leaders Real Madrid. Neymar was loudly booed by the PSG fans alongside Lionel Messi.

The PSG fans were clearly frustrated with superstars such as Messi and Neymar following the manner of their Champions League exit to Real Madrid at the last 16 stage earlier this month. Frenchman KylianMbappe scored the only goal of the game in stoppage time and Messi also missed a second half penalty as PSG beat Real Madrid 1-0 at home in the first leg. In the second leg, Mbappe scored towards the end of the first half to put PSG 2-0 ahead in the tie and in the driving seat, but Real Madrid had other ideas. The Spanish La Liga leaders scored three second half goals in the space of seventeen (17) minutes to knock their French opponents out of the Champions League via a 3-2 aggregate defeat.

Neymar and Messi were booed when PSG played hosts to bottom team Bordeaux in the French top flight on Sunday. Messi hit the post during the game as he almost had a perfect reply for the boos. For Neymar, the Brazilian had a very good reply for the boos from the PSG fans as he doubled the lead for his team at the start of the second half after Mbappe had scored the opening goal in the first half. Argentine midfielder Leandro Paredes scored the third and final goal of the game as PSG cruised to a 3-0 win.
PSG have a 15-point lead at the French top flight summit with ten games to play and they need only 16 points from those games to be crowned champions for the second time in three seasons.
